BBL: Hoeneß “very proud” of his basketball players

Bayern Munich’s President Uli Hoeneß is “very proud” of his basketball players after the historic cup success.

The team had shown “tremendous energy performance. The title is a great motivation and a driving force for the rest of the season, because we still have good options in the championship and the European Cup,”Hoeneß said after a lunch with captain Anton Gavel.

For the first time in 50 years, Bayern basketball players had celebrated a cup victory on Sunday. Sasa Djordjevic’s team won against Alba Berlin 80:75. He was “simply very happy that we won the cup again after so many years,”emphasized Hoeneß, who hadn’t been to Ulm on the final day.
