Handball: Serdarusic has to go to Paris – Gonzales takes over in summer

The time of Kiel coach Zvonimir Serdarusic (67) at Paris St. Germain has expired, the long-standing coach will be replaced by Raul Gonzalez from Spain in the 2018/19 season.

The club’s captain Uwe Gensheimer’s club announced that the 47-year-old Gonzalez signed a three-year contract with the Parisian star ensemble until 2021. Until the end of the season, the 47-year-old is still working for Macedonian top club Vardar Skopje, with whom he surprisingly won the Champions League this summer.

Serdarusic, who led THW Kiel to eleven German championships, five cup victories and a top-class title between 1993 and 2008, has been a coach in Paris since 2015. The former circle runner had recently been criticized for missing the hoped-for triumph in the Champions League twice, despite the allegedly strongest squad.

Serdarusic won two French championships with Paris and currently leads the table with 14-0 points.
