Handball: Flensburg-Handewitt second again after victory in Wetzlar

The SG Flensburg-Handewitt has rehabilitated itself in the Handball Bundesliga for the derby defeat against THW Kiel. One week after the bankruptcy against the record-breaking champion, the North Germans won 24:19 (9:11) at the HSG Wetzlar and moved to second place behind champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen after 17 matchdays.

Behind the third-placed Füchsen Berlin, TSV Hannover-Burgdorf secured fourth place ahead of Kiel with a clear 32:25 (15:12) victory over Aufsteiger TV Hüttenberg. Frisch Auf Göppingen also won 23:21 (13:15) at MT Melsungen.

The SC DHfK Leipzig beat VfL Gummersbach 27:24 (11:11) and is eighth after the fourth victory in a row with 21 points. Gummersbach, on the other hand, remains in 13th place with ten points.
