DEL: Reinprecht fails until after Olympic Games

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers will have to do without exceptional player Steven Reinprecht in the coming weeks. The now 41-year-old Canadian, the oldest player in the DEL and one of their top scorers for years, had to undergo back surgery on Tuesday.

As the club announced, Reinprecht will continue to play until after the Olympic Games (9. till 25. February).

The last injured top performers David Steckel and Brett Festerling, on the other hand, are about to return. Both players are expected to be ready for the home game against Adler Mannheim on Christmas Day.
