Handball: Fresh Goeppingen has to do without Tomas Urban for a long time

Bundesliga team Frisch Goeppingen will have to give up Slovakian international Tomas Urban for a long time. The 28-year-old suffered an Achilles’ tendon tearing on Wednesday evening in the match against top of the standings, TV Hüttenberg. This was announced by the first German European Cup winner on Thursday.

The right wing is operated on Friday, but it may be cancelled for the rest of the season. Urban had just returned to work after a healed middle hand fracture.
