NBA: Barkley: Players are “poor babies.”

The NBA has equalized the board to reduce back-to-back games.Charles Barkley got upset about this and attacked – once again – the current generation of players.

“So these poor babies can’t play back-to-back these days,”Barkley wailed to Dallas Morning News.He alludes to the NBA’s schedule changes:”This year’s regular season starts a week earlier, so that the teams have to play as few matches as possible on two consecutive days.

Barkley continues:”They earn 30 million, sometimes 40 million a year.But we still want to make life easy for them, of course.Of course, with this annual salary you should not put them under stress.They fly in private jets and stay in four-star hotels.”

Of course, there was no such thing at his time:”We flew on scheduled flights and played back-to-back.I know older players who have traveled all over the country by train and played three days in a row.No one complained.”
