Before the trade can take place, contractual details have to be clarified.Anthony has a no-trade clause, which must first be lifted for trade.Anthony is presented with a document that allows the Knicks to carry out the trade.
Anthony had asked the Knicks several times for a trade before the new season.Originally, the Houston Rockets were supposed to have been Anthony’s dream destination for a transfer, but the Knicks couldn’t agree with the Texas team.That’s why Anthony had added the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Thunders to his wish list.
Oklahoma has already secured Small Forward Paul George from Indiana.Anthony has a two-year contract with the Knicks worth $54 million.The Thunders play their first match of the season on 19.October.
