MLB: Max Kepler replaced with hip injury

Max Kepler had to leave the Minnesota Twins’ guest appearance at the Detroits Tigers (10:4) after an inning.The hip caused problems.However, his manager does not expect a major injury.

The German Right Fielder sustained the injury in the first inning after Alex Presley had beaten a single in the Right Field.Kepler then tried to eject Ian Kinsler, who was on second base, on the home plate, but slipped and fell.He finished the first inning, but was then replaced by Pinch-Hitter Ehire Adrianza in the second.

“Kepler’s okay,”Twins manager Paul Molitor said after the game:”I think he just fell unfavorably.We’ll check it out in the morning.I don’t think it’s something bigger.I think he just didn’t feel good trying to swing.But it was enough to be careful and replace him.I don’t know if it’s muscular, maybe he twisted something odd.”

Kepler beats. 244/. 315/. 430 with 19 homeruns and 68 RBI in 142 games.He also convinced defensively with a good game.In his last two starts against left-handers he got his first two homeruns against left-hander pitcher.On Saturday he started against Matthew Boyd, who also throws left.
