After 162 regular season matches, the playoffs are a foretaste of the prestigious World Series.Year after year the qualifying matches begin at the beginning of October.

Ten teams out of a total of 30 franchises of the MLB qualify for the playoffs.Five teams from the American League and the National League will be competing.The participants are the winners of their respective divisions (East, Central, West).In addition, the two best teams of a league that could not win a division qualify.These teams will then receive a so-called wildcard for the playoffs.
