NBA: Schröder wants to herald the new Hawks era
Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard are gone, now the Atlanta Hawks belong above all to Dennis Schröder.General Manager Travis Schlenk is convinced of the German and Schröder himself is confident before the season.
At the start of the Hawks’ training camp GM Schlenk once again explicitly praised his German Point Guard. In his four years in Atlanta, he had matured as a human being and a player. The EuroBasket 2017 also helped once again.
Schröder himself gave up his usual self-confidence:”I try to improve every day on and off the court, I want to help the organisation win games. The international player knows that without Howard or Millsap, more is expected of him,”the young players look up to me.I must always be professional and try to set an example for them.”
It’s time for me to be in the spotlight, as well as Taurean Prince, DeAndre[Bembry] or Kent Bazemore.and start creating a new legacy.”
