Boxing: Klitschko brothers awarded the “Herqul” boxing award

The two former heavyweight world champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko have won the first-ever Box-Award “Herqul” in the category “Life’s work”.The award, which was initiated by the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, was presented on Sunday evening.

Vladimir Klitschko (41) also received the prize for his brother.Witali Klitschko (46), mayor of Kiev, was unable to attend the gala because of political obligations in Ukraine.

The “Herqul” was awarded by a jury of experts in twelve categories.Amongst others, the boxer of the year, world champion Tyron Zeuge, was awarded the prize for best boxer Christina Hammer.
