NBA: IT:”Maybe never talk to Danny again.”

In the summer Isaiah Thomas was traded surprisingly from the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a conversation with Sports Illustrated, the Point Guard has now explained how hard this hit him.

Thomas had played in the playoffs at Celtics, although his younger sister Chyna died in a car accident and he had badly injured his hip.In the off-season he then attended meetings with Free Agent Gordon Hayward to guide him to Boston.A short time later he was traded to Cleveland for Kyrie Irving.

“None of it made any sense,”Thomas said now.”It still doesn’t make any sense.I’m still wondering,” What the hell happened?”This is a trade that you do at NBA2K, but not in real life.” Given the trades and loss of his sister, Thomas described last year as “the best of my career and the worst of my life.”

Looking back at the playoffs, he said that it was definitely the right thing to do, if he’d rather paused, according to his current knowledge.”I made it worse. There is no way around that,”says Thomas, whose return to the court is not expected until January.

Thomas made it clear, however, that he did not want to take revenge on Boston, he still loves Boston. There is only one exception:”I may never speak to[Celtics President] Danny Ainge again. With everyone else, yes.But what he did, even though he knew what was going on with me, you just don’t do that. That’s just not right.Every team in a situation like this one or two years later realizes that it made a mistake. That’s what they’ll say.”

Thomas played a total of two and a half seasons for Celtics.Last season he scored 28.9 points and 5.9 assists on average and finished fifth in the MVP election.
