NBA: Boston: Morris is missing – does Tatum start?
On Sunday Celtics coach Brad Stevens announced that Marcus Morris will be missing from the team for over a week. Therefore, the No. 3 pick could be sent directly to the Opening Night (Boston vs.Cleveland, Wed, 2 o’ clock live on DAZN) Starter be.
Morris was considered a likely starter at Celtics after Avery Bradley took him out of Detroit in the summer. The forward, however, has problems with his right knee:”After joining us a little later, we think he needs some more preparation,”Stevens explained.
“It will probably take a little more than a week and then we will evaluate it again. The tests have been done and structurally everything looks good in the knee, but it would be a bit too fast now. We’ll be a better team when Marcus is available, but he’s not yet.We need others to fill in for him.”
On Sunday, Stevens did not want to announce what the Starting Five will look like at the opening of the season against Cleveland, but he said that it will probably look like the preseason.Boston recently competed with Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford.
Tatum, who died in June at 3.The question was asked on Sunday whether he had already thought that he might have to defend LeBron James in his NBA debut.Tatum nodded and said,”It went okay in my head.”
