NHL: Oilers Continue Downward Trend without Draisaitl
The Edmonton Oilers continued their downward trend in the NHL without Leon Draisaitl.The Canadians lost 3-5 to Carolina Hurricanes and lost their fourth consecutive defeat.
Draisaitl was still missing because of an eye injury he had sustained against the Winnipeg Jets at 2:5.The center also complained about symptoms of concussion.
Teuvo Teravainen (2) and Elias Lindholm shot out a clear 3-0 lead for the Hurricanes in the first period.Mark Letestu gave the Oilers hope for a second period goal, but Jordan Staal and Jaccob Slavin brought home the victory in the final round with Ryan Strome and Milan Lucic conceding goals.
