NBA: Kobe about Schröder:”He’s tough.”

At a Nike event in London, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was interviewed about some European players and gave his assessment. Dennis Schröder was also mentioned.

“Dennis Schröder is tough, he’s a competitor,”Bryant praised.”He doesn’t shy away from anybody. He played really strong players in the playoffs, but he wasn’t intimidated by it at all.”

Bryant, who had ended his own career in 2016 after 20 years, referred to the series against Washington in the 2017s playoffs, when Schröder had averaged 24.7 points and 7.7 assists against All-Star John Wall. This impressed Bryant, especially since he sees Schröder as a prime example of the ever-increasing European influence.

“This shows that international players are now looking at the Americans and saying:’ No, no, no. And it’s exactly this mentality that Schröder has,”Bryant continued.
