Boxing: European champion Kabayel demands scandal fighter Chisora

Heavyweight boxer Agit Kabayel wants to take the next step towards becoming the world’s top boxer on Saturday. Then the 25-year-old defends his European EBU championship title in Monte Carlo against Dereck Chisora (33), a British scandal fighter.

Kabayel is unbeaten in 16 fights as a pro, 13 of which he won through knockout.

“It will be a great battle for me. I’ll do everything I can to stay champion on Saturday,”said the Kurdish-born Kabayel before the duel at the famous Casino de Monte Carlo. Chisora, who had already stood against former world champions Witali Klitschko, David Haye and Tyson Fury in the ring, is now fighting for his career.

Chisora had made headlines in the past, especially because of his sometimes violent confrontations with Haye. With seven defeats in 34 fights, the former European champion is under pressure against Kabayel.

My opponent is a young, hungry champion, but I will destroy the boy. One of them will be knocked out on Saturday. and I won’t be,”said Chisora.
