NBA: Shumpert fails for months
The Cleveland Cavaliers have to do without Iman Shumpert for a long time. The team announced that the guard will have to undergo knee surgery. Shump’s going to be out for months.
According to a report by Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Cavs have to give up the bank player for up to two months. Shumpert is to be operated on promptly in a clinic in Cleveland. The Cavs didn’t officially explain how long Shumpert has to pause.
The number four of the cavs missed four of the last five games and was therefore re-examined. It was discovered that Shump now has to be operated on,
Shumpert played an average of 20.8 minutes in which he played 4.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists. However, he only threw 38.6 percent out of the field. The injuries of Isaiah Thomas and Derrick Rose allowed the former Knicks player to start in six games.
