MLB: Stanton-Trade: 2 teams reach agreement with Miami
Is a change of National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton imminent? According to media reports, the Miami Marlins have reached an agreement with two teams on trades for the outfielder. But he has yet to agree.
Various US media have reported unanimously that both the San Francisco Giants and the St. Francis Giants have been able to win the award. Louis Cardinal’s framework for a trade with the Marlins. Now they are both waiting for a decision from Stanton, who thanks to a full no-trade clause in his contract can reject any trade and thus essentially decide for himself whether to leave Florida.
Both the Giants and the Cardinals met with representatives of Stanton after agreeing with the Marlins on a possible trade in principle.
The Giants Outfielder and First Baseman Chris Shaw, right-handed Tyler Beede and Outfielder Heliot Ramos would be sent to Miami. These are numbers 2 to 4 of your prospectus list according to the MLB pipeline. In addition, All-Star-Second-Baseman Joe Panik will be part of the deal.
For the cardinals, pitching prospects such as the right-handed players Jack Flaherty and Sandy Alcantara are to be included in the package. Flaherty is the third-best prospect of the Cardinals, Alcantara the ninth-best.
It is unclear, however, whether Stanton will wave through one of these trades is unclear, because rumours have it that Stanton is said to prefer the Los Angeles Dodgers, especially since he comes from Los Angeles. These, in turn, are also still in talks with Miami, but there are doubts about the high-end treaty, which will give Stanton $295 million over the next ten years. The Dodgers, on the other hand, are already paying the highest possible luxury tax rate and would have to pay a good amount on Stanton’s significant salary.
