NBA: Cody Zeller needs knee surgery

Next failure for the Charlotte Hornets. The team from North Carolina will have to give up Cody Zeller for a long time. The power forward has to be operated on the meniscus in the left knee and will be cancelled for about six weeks.
This was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Hornets confirmed it a little later. This means that the Big will be operated on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The 25-year-old was injured by his defeat against the Golden State Warriors.
Zeller was pulled by the Hornets with the fourth pick in 2013 and is currently in the first year of a $56 million contract for four seasons. However, Dwight Howard’s arrival reduced his season. As a backup of D12, Zeller played 7.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
