Cycling: Froome says,”I haven’t broken any rules.”

After his positive doping test, cycling star Christopher Froome confirmed his innocence in an interview with the BBC:”I understand that this is a big shock for everyone. I certainly didn’t break any rules,”said the 32-year-old. This was “not a positive test” and therefore no damage to the image was caused, Froome continued.

Four-time Tour winner Froome had been tested in a doping test during his Vuelta triumph in September. The World Cycling Federation UCI officially announced this only on Wednesday.

According to this study, Team Sky found an inadmissibly high concentration of the asthma drug salbutamol in the 32-year-old Briton’s urine sample during the tour of Spain. The B-sample confirmed the result of the A-sample.
