Golf: Kieffer in Muscat best German

The Duesseldorf golf pro Maximilian Kieffer finished the European Tour Tournament in Muscat/Oman as the best German player in 23rd place.
The 27-year-old had after four rounds on the par 72 course through a 70 in the last round with 283 strokes eleven strokes more on his scorecard than Dutch winner Joost Luiten.
Kieffer was the only one of five Germans to make the final two rounds. Marcel Siem (Ratingen), Sebastian Heisele (Munich), Bernd Ritthammer (Nuremberg) and Marcel Schneider (Pleidelsheim) had already failed the cut.
