Olympia 2018: After the doping case: medal handover to Norwegian still in Pyeongchang

Following the disqualification of Russian curler Alexander Kruschelnitsky, the International Olympic Committee will reaward the bronze medal during the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

Kruschelnizki had won bronze in the mixed competition with his wife Anastassija Brysgalowa, but was convicted after taking the forbidden cardiac remedy Meldonium.

“There will be a medal ceremony before Sunday’s graduation ceremony. We are working on it,”said IOC spokesman Mark Adams. The bronze medals go to Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten from Norway, who originally came fourth.
