Olympia 2018: Paralymics: Wheelchair curler wins at the start

The German wheelchair curling team had a surprisingly successful start at the Paralympics in Pyeongchang. The team around Skip Christiane Putzich won on Saturday against the “Neutral Paralympic Athletes” from Russia with 9:4.

“With a good start, a midfield position is realistic. The big target would be the semi-final, anything else would be a bonus. But we don’t call ourselves a bag of wonders for nothing,”Putzich said before the first game. On Sunday Germany will play in the preliminary round against the USA and China.
