NFL: Dec Bryant: Ravens in pole position?
Is Dez Bryant moving to the AFC North? After his release from the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant is on the market – according to initial rumours, he would like to switch to a cowboy division rival. But the first trail obviously leads to Baltimore.
This is reported by NFL network insider Ian Rapoport. According to this, Baltimore is supposed to show the greatest interest since Bryant’s release. According to Rapoport, the Ravens urgently want to invest again in their receiver corps despite the free agency obligations of Michael Crabtree and John Brown.
According to Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills and the New Orleans Saints have also extended their feelers to Bryant, especially Buffalo still has an urgent need for a starting receiver. The Saints could schedule Bryant primarily as a Red Zone target.
In recent years, however, the Ravens have repeatedly invested in experienced receivers such as Jeremy Maclin, Steve Smith or Anquan Boldin. In the pre-season Baltimore had one of the worst wide-receiver corps in the entire league, which became a big block, especially in the second half of the season, when line and quarterback Joe Flacco stabilized.
