Tony Bellew has won the heavyweight fight in the O2 Arena in London against his English compatriot David Haye (NOW in RE-LIVE on DAZN). The bomber defeated the Hayemaker by a technical knockout in round five.

Haye made quite an impression in the first two rounds. The 37-year-old seemed flexible and well-prepared, but did not score a serious goal.

Towards the end of the third round, Bellew turned up. The 35-year-old hit Haye twice hard and sent the former heavyweight champion to the ground for the first time. Haye was hard upset, in lap four he could hardly get out of the stagger.

In round five, Bellew finally closed the sack. The man from Liverpool sent his opponent into the ring dust with a violent left hand. Haye got up again, but the referee stopped the fight correctly.

“He’s a legend of the sport. I am overjoyed that I managed to beat him again,” said Bellew, who had already won by technical knockout on 4 March 2017 in the eleventh round against Haye. At that time, however, he had pulled himself an Achilles tendon tear in the fifth lap.

Haye’s second defeat to Bellew was probably the end of his career. “Tony has delivered a great fight and deserved to win,” Haye said.
