In the high mountains of the Pyrenees, the 19th stage of the Tour de France demands everything from the riders, and the mountain experts get their last chance to shine. Here you can get all information about the stage on Friday (2 pm in the LIVETICKER) and the transmission on TV and Livestream.

At the 18th stage, Frenchman Arnaud Demare of Team Groupama-FDJ secured his first stage victory ahead of his compatriot Christophe Laporte.

Over a distance of 200 kilometres, six mountain classifications and almost 5,000 vertical metres have to be completed on the 19th stage.

With Lourdes as the starting point, twelve kilometres of the Col d’Aspin, 16.8 kilometres of the Col du Tourmalet and over 7.1 kilometres of the Col du Soulor await the drivers. After the last summit, the Col d’Aubisque, the downhill specialists can also score points at 20 kilometres downhill to Laruns.

At 11.55 a.m. the 105th Tour de France starts into its last mountain stage. Before ARD reports live from 4 p.m., the events can already be followed on One. The race is also available on ARD’s free live stream.

For the fifth time in a row there have been no changes to the jerseys. As long as Peter Sagan reaches the finish line of the final stage, the green jersey cannot be taken away from him. Despite handicaps Sagan was able to convince in the decisive final sprint on stage 18 and secured eighth place on stage 18.

Julian Alaphillipe doesn’t want to give himself any nakedness on the last mountain stage and defend his jersey.

After Gerait Thomas secured the overall lead with his attack on the 17th stage, there was a quasi ceasefire in the leading trio on leg 18.

With a 1’59” lead over Dutchman Tom Dumoulin and a 2’31” lead over defending champion Tom Dimoulin, Geraint Thomas enters the 19th stage.
