NBA: Grizzlies and Noah probably close to agreement

Joakim Noah will probably return to the NBA soon. After the intermezzo and the release at the New York Knicks, the Frenchman will probably join the Memphis Grizzlies.

As Shams Charania (The Athletic) reports, the Grizzlies will meet with Noah at the end of next week to agree on a deal. The center will receive about 20 million dollars from the New York Knicks this season. In the Big Apple, however, Noah clearly disappointed and was dismissed.

In 2017, he signed a four-year contract there for 72 million dollars, which will also earn him 20 million dollars next season.

But since the Grizzlies have given their complete mid-level exception to Kyle Anderson and operate close to the luxury tax limit anyway, Memphis could only offer the Frenchman a contract at the veteran minimum.
