NBA: Cousins’ comeback probably only after Christmas

After DeMarcus Cousins suffered a Achilles tendon rupture last season, the Golden State Warriors centre will not celebrate its comeback until after Christmas, according to a media report.

This is reported by Logan Murdock of the Bay Area News Group. Cousins had hoped to be able to return to the floor earlier.

However, the 28-year-old’s plan to make his Warriors debut during the five-game away trip on Friday put a stop to his plan. Although there have been no setbacks in the healing process of cousins so far, the franchise wants to remain patient.

After a shootaround on Monday, Cousins had already taken part in a team training session. But Golden State now wants to give the newcomer time to work on his condition and play his way into form.

DMC put on 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds in 48 games in the New Orleans Pelicans jersey last season before injuring himself. As a Free Agent, he signed a one-year contract for $5.3 million with the reigning champion this summer.
