Schröder-Team separates from Coach

After the playoffs, Oklahoma City Thunder will end the cooperation with their coach. Dennis Schröder has to adjust to a new coach.

National player Dennis Schröder has to adjust to a new coach after the Oklahoma City Thunder went out in the play-off round of sixteen.

The club and Billy Donovan have mutually agreed on a separation after five years together, OKC announced on Tuesday (local time).

Donovan (55) had inherited Scott Brooks in 2015 and the franchise always reached the championship round despite the departures of his superstars Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Paul George under him. The head coach’s contract expired at the end of the season.

Donovan has many options. The New Orleans Pelicans, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls are looking for a coach.
