Olympia 2018: Marcel Hirscher wins gold in a combination

Ski superstar Marcel Hirscher won his first Olympic gold medal on Tuesday. The ÖSV star won the alpine combination at the winter games in Pyeongchang, ahead of Alexis Pinturault (+0.23) and Victor Muffat-Jeandet (+1.02). Carinthian Marco Schwarz finished fourth (+1.35).

For Austria, it was the third Olympic gold medal in the men’s combination. In 1988 Hubert Strolz had triumphed in Calgary, on the day exactly 20 years ago Mario Reiter won in Nagano. Hirscher has two more chances, he is in the giant slalom on Sunday and in the slalom on 22. February the big favorite.
