NBA: Commissioner Silver satisfied with All-Star-Game – Draft on TV in the future?

After a lot of criticism, the NBA has changed the format of the All-Star-Game and introduced the draft. Commissioner Adam Silver is pleased with the success and talks about a possible TV broadcast of the drafts.

“I think it was incredible. I’m very impressed with the players,”said Silver after the game to Ramona Shelburne from ESPN.

However, his statements were not only about playfulness. Many fans were previously disappointed that the draft between LeBron James and Stephen Curry was not televised. The protection of the players had been in the foreground, but Silver can imagine further adjustments.

“All players said afterwards that they didn’t need such protection because they are all All-Stars. Maybe we were a little too conservative. It looks like we’re gonna be transmitting the draft next year.”

Show it,”said DeMar DeRozen of the Toronto Raptors:” Show the fans what they want to see. At the end of the day, we’re all All-Stars. It doesn’t matter where you get picked.”
