MLB: Tim Tebow stumbles over sprinklers and injures his ankle

Tim Tebow joined the Spring Training Complex of the New York Mets in St. Gallen. Lucie/Florida injured her ankle. The outfielder had stumbled across a sprinkler during practice in the outfield.

With the injury officially declared as a ankle strain, the former NFL quarterback will have to go a few days shorter. As the Mets explained, Tebow will be able to train fully again in a few days. For the moment, however, it is limited to batting practice.

The college star of the University of Florida is one of 15 so-called non-oster invites, i. e. players who have a minor league contract but are not part of the MLB team’s 40-player squad.

“Tebow said on Sunday,”I’m trying to be smart about this and taping my ankle. Tebow beat 2017,226 in 126 games for the Mets teams in Low and High-A. In addition, he achieved eight homeruns in his first season in professional baseball.

Last week, General Manager Sandy Alderson even said he believed that Tebow would one day play at the MLB.
