NFL: Seahawks: Sherman’s operating – “little setback.”

Richard Sherman has to face a setback in his fight for his comeback: The Seattle Seahawks’ cornerback, which had been torn into an Achilles tendon tear, has now also been operated on the other Achilles tendon.

At the beginning of November, Sherman had torn his right Achilles tendon in the game against the Arizona Cardinals and was operated on shortly afterwards. Recently, he had already announced that he “probably can be completely ready for the minicamp. But they won’t let me do anything yet. Therefore I will probably complete some individual units. They won’t let me do anything until practice camp.”

However, the 29-year-old’s ambitious comeback plans have now come to a halt: As Seahawk’s head coach Pete Carroll confirmed on Thursday at the edge of the Scouting Combine, Sherman had to undergo surgery on the left Achilles tendon. This was a “minor operation”.

“It’s a small setback,”Carroll admitted,”for about two weeks because he now has to wear a splint on the other leg. He works incredibly hard, he has a fantastic off-season. Mentally he’s there, he gives it all,” Sherman, according to the NFL. com report, should be ready for the training camp.

Cornerback charges Seattle’s Cap 2018 with $13.2 million. The Seahawks could release him with only 2.2 million dead cap, but ESPN recently asked him whether he had any doubts that he would also play in Seattle in 2018, Sherman made it clear:”There is no doubt in my mind. We’ll try to get everything back on track, get well and then try to attack again.”
