J.R. According to a media report, Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers is said to have been suspended before the game against the Philadelphia 76ers because he threw a bowl of soup after assistant coach Damon Jones.

This is reported by Brian Windhorst of ESPN, citing several sources. Smith missed the game on Thursday, losing the Cavs at 97:108 due to an “incident during practice”, but no details were given.

Apparently, the 32-year-old is now certain what he has achieved. Jones, who used to play for the Cavaliers himself, is one of the confidants of Head Coach Tyronn Lue.

On Friday Smith is expected to return to the game as usual. His replacement Rodney Hood took over against Philly as a starter and scored 11 points (5/14 FG).
