Not so long ago, Le’ Veon had threatened to resign if Le’ Veon Bell received another franchise day. The Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t be deterred – Bell already has concrete plans of how he will deal with the next day.
Bell told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that he will neither resign nor suspend the coming season,”I will be there for Week 1,”said the Running Back,”it will be a repeat of last year. and I’m not going to do any additional things like the OTAs, none of that.”
Instead, he “will strictly do what I have to do. I want to win every game and statistically deliver the best possible season. That’s why I want to be in every game. I have to stand by my opinion and what I believe I’m worth. This means that the running back market can get where it needs to be. The running back is an important position, on average we have the shortest career. That is why, when we are in our prime, we have to achieve the best possible financial results. Running backs need that respect.”
Last season, the 26-year-old had already suspended all off-season workouts and did not start working until 1 January. I’ve returned it to you on September 9th to sign the day. Instead, he had trained alone over the summer, but at the same time Bell had a comparatively slow start to the season (60 rushing yards, 18.7 receiving yards on average over the first three games).
Since it is Bell’s second franchise day in a row, his salary for the coming season is impressive – he will collect 14.5 million dollars from the Steelers in 2018. In addition, however, he has no guarantees whatsoever and not a few experts suspect that Bell’s last year in Pittsburgh will also be in 2018.
