NBA: Warriors epidemic: Durant is also out longer

After the injuries of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors now have to give up Kevin Durant for at least two weeks. The team announced that the final MVP suffered a rib fracture.

This is the result of an MRI examination carried out by the Warriors on Friday. Durant will probably not be able to intervene in the game again until April. KD then told the media that he had suffered the injury last weekend against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“Late in the game, I went to the basket and collided with Karl-Anthony Towns, and I felt it,” explained the forward ahead of the Warriors’ game against the Sacramento Kings, explaining how the injury had occurred. After the Wolves game, Durant even played the Los Angeles Lakers again, scoring 26 points.

Besides Durant, the Warriors currently have to do without two other all-stars in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. The Shooting Guard has a fracture in his thumb, while Curry has problems with his ankle again. Both will certainly not be in the next games.

“We’d all like to play,” Durant said when asked if this wouldn’t spare the Warriors stars,”You could see it that way, but my wish would be for all of us to stand on the field and get in better harmony.”

Before the game against the Kings, the Warriors won seven of eight games without Durant. In these games, however, coach Steve Kerr Curry and Thompson were available.
