A mad game between Buffalo and Western Michigan has set a new point record in the FBS.The Broncos beat the Bulls after seven overtimes with 71:68, after both teams had made a number of mistakes.

Running Back Jarvion Franklin made the final decision in favor of Western Michigans in the seventh overtime.With his 12-yard touchdown run, he put the lid on it after Buffalo had only scored a field goal before.

For the fourth time in total, a game in the history of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) went into a seventh overtime.The game between Syracuse and Pittsburgh in November 2016 ended with 136 points in total.The 139 now are a new record.

With 34 seconds on the clock, Buffalo equalled through a 34-yard field goal by Adam Mitcheson to 31:31.Western Michigan tried to respond before the regular end, but Josh Grant missed a field goal attempt from 52 yards with the clock running out because Jarrett Franklin blocked him.

Grant also gave away a 29-yard attempt in the third overtime, which would have ended the game.Buffalo had previously afforded himself a fumble that the Broncos had conquered.Both teams each gave away a 2-point attempt in the sixth overtime.

Quarterback Jon Wassink threw five touchdowns, while Franklin ran 176 yards and three touchdowns.Meanwhile, Buffalo’s Drew Anderson threw 597 yards – a new school record – and had seven touchdown passes and a touchdown run.In addition, the Bulls now hold the FBS record for the most points in a defeat.
