NBA: Step on Embiid’s mask: Winslow must pay

Justise Winslow was charged $15,000 by the NBA. The Miami Heat forward tried to destroy Joel Embiid’s mask in game 3 of the series against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Embiid was playing with the mask due to an orbital fracture to protect his face. But when she fell to the ground in the second quarter after a rebound duel, Winslow stepped on the mask and tried to break it apart with her hands.

“Justise stepped on it and tried to break it, but they had no idea that I had about 50 of them,” Embiid said at the post-game press conference. “It’s gonna take a lot more than that to get me off this show.”

Embiid and Winslow clashed several times during the heated game. Winslow commented afterwards: “He kept throwing the mask on the floor. I don’t know if he didn’t like her or whatever. “I talked to JoJo, it went back and forth with trash talk all the time.”

The Sixers won the game and now lead the series 2-1. 8.30 p.m. on Saturday evening (live on DAZN) Match 4 will take place again in Miami.
