LeBron James could play his last game for the Cleveland Cavaliers if he loses in game seven. For the superstar, however, this does not matter in his thoughts. He is determined to lift his team into the next round.
“I haven’t thought this might be my last game this year yet,” James assured after the defeat in game six. Instead, his focus is on game seven and not on a possible elimination in the first play-off round.
Instead, James looked forward to the deciding match. “I love this situation and I want people to remember it. Game 7 are the two best words the sport has,” LeBron continued. “We now have game seven in our hall, so our fans can be happy and I hope my teammates will do the same.”
LeBron played a total of six seventh games in his career and won four of them, including the 2016 finals against the Golden State Warriors. At the same time, another record is at stake for James: In 12 attempts, James’ teams always prevailed in the first playoff round.

The King has almost 33 points and 10 rebounds in the series so far, but he mostly lacked support. Among others, Kevin Love continues to search for his form and hits only 32.4 percent out of the field. “He is an important factor whether we are successful or not,” James once again underlined the role of his co-star. “We try to tie him in, but we can’t sink the dice for him. These things can’t be controlled.”
Love, on the other hand, tried to take the sharpness out of his throwing crisis a little. “I’ve done many other good things, too,” the Power Forward was sure. “I know you want to talk about the offense, but I need to find ways to influence the game in different ways.”
Game seven takes place on Sunday evening at 7 pm in Cleveland. The winner will face Toronto Raptors in the second round, who defeated the Washington Wizards in six games.
