NFL: German Talent Equanimous St. Brown drafted by the Packers

Equanimous St. Brown is another German football talent playing in the NFL: The 21-year-old wide receiver was penalised by the Green Bay Packers on the third day of the NFL draft. However, St. Brown had to wait longer than expected.

Only in 207th place St. Brown was selected in the sixth round of the Draft, later than many experts expected – and thus almost 30 picks later than Moritz Böhringer in 2016. “I’m definitely ready to play football. I’ve never been so ready for anything in my life.”

The 1.95 metre tall catcher had last played at the University of Notre Dame. The son of a former Mr. Universum and a German emigrant grew up in California, now he is going to Wisconsin. Quarterback of the Packers is Aaron Rodgers, one of the absolute superstars in the NFL.

From a purely sporting point of view, St. Brown is a fast receiver that builds up a remarkable speed during its route. His changes of direction are good and efficient, time and again he breaks away from his opponent. Above all, he is a specialist for the Big Plays with a great gain in space. It can be used almost anywhere in the field.
