MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw injured again in comeback

Clayton Kershaw injured again on Thursday during the comeback for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In the 2-1 defeat to Philadelphia Phillies, the star pitcher played five innings before leaving the field.

Kershaw will undergo an MR examination on Friday to determine the exact state of health. The Dodgers, however, announced that they would not be planning with Kershaw until further notice.

At the beginning of the season, the 30-year-old was already struggling with an inflammation of the biceps tendon, which forced him to spend several days on the Disabled List. In the last two seasons he missed several games due to back problems.

Over the last four seasons, Kershaw had an average of 27 starts per season, up from well over 30 in previous seasons.

The Dodgers are currently at 26-30 and are trying to get back on track in the West Division without Kershaw and Shortstop Corey Seager, who had to undergo a Tommy Johns operation on his throwing arm.
