NBA: Kings must be trading Temple to Memphis

The Sacramento Kings cycled to Memphis according to various media news Garrett Temple. In return, the Kings Center gets Deyonta Davis, Cash and Ben McLemore.

This is reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. In addition, the Kings will get a second round pick for 2021 from the Grizzlies. With Temple the Grizzlies get a solid, defensive Guard and Veteran, whose contract runs until 2019, for the coming season the Guard gets 8 million dollars.

“I just spoke to Vlade Divac. I am now looking forward to my new job in Memphis,” quotes Guard Alex Kennedy (HoopsHype). This was not the first transaction the Grizzlies made during this offseason. Previously, the Grizzlies forced Jaren Jackson with the fourth pick and grabbed RFA Kyle Anderson and Forward Omri Casspi a little later.

The Kings bring back Ben McLemore, whom they pulled with the seventh pick in 2013. Last summer Sacramento had not made an offer to the Shooting Guard, who was then a Restricted Free Agent. Big Man Deyonta Davis pecked Grizzlies 2016 in round two, but the center never made it to Tennessee. It is therefore possible that the Kings will dismiss both players.

At the same time, the Kings now have $20.5 million in cap space, which they could theoretically use for the remaining free agents like Marcus Smart, Clint Capela or Rodney Hood. But they all have one thing in common – they are Restricted Free Agents, so their previous teams could always draw level.
