After the Atlantic Division was illuminated last week, the Division series continues this week in the West: The basket hunter NBA Podcast looks at the Northwest and analyses the situations of OKC Thunder, Utah Jazz and Co.
SPOX-NBA editor Ole Frerks and Max Marbeiter (formerly SPOX) founded the basket hunter NBA Podcast. It discusses all kinds of topics from the NBA world, with a combination of fan perspective, expertise and humour.
After several specials and reaction podcasts in the course of the Free Agency, which can still be found on all platforms, the podcast currently deals with the individual divisions of the NBA.
Episode 4 deals with the Northwest Division and its five teams: How did the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, OKC Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz fare in the off-season? Also some listener questions are answered, which one can ask quite simply on Twitter.

In the podcast we first select the winner of the previous week and also propose new names for the Northwest Division. Then everyone introduces his most interesting team in this division: Max takes a look at Utah jazz before his second year with Donovan Mitchell, Ole takes a look at the OKC Thunder and the potential (in many ways) of collaboration between Dennis Schröder and Russell Westbrook.
In the Big Picture we also look at the Wolves and the alleged dispute between Butler and Towns as well as the status of Tom Thibodeau. Plus, who’s the best player in this division in three years? Should C.J. McCollum be traded? And a farewell to Manu Ginobili.
Have fun with today’s episode!
