MLB: After injury: Superstar intensifies training

Aaron Judge took another step towards a comeback on Monday after his wrist injury. The outfielder of the New York Yankees completed his first batting practice in the field.

About five hours before the game in Minnesota (7:2 New York) Judge started the training in the target field. It was the first time Judge had competed against “real” pitching since his injury in Kansas City on July 26.

“It was typical batting practice for Aaron Judge, he put on a show,” commented Yankees manager Aaron Boone. “It went really well.”

Aaron Judge said after the game: “I’m just happy to beat you out again. It’s another step and I’m excited about how this process is going.”

Judge went five laps and hit a few real bombs deep into the stands in Center Field, beating Left Field and missing the third floor only slightly.

However, it is still unclear when Judge will return to the game. Boone didn’t want to commit and Judge just said for the record, “I play when I play.”
