NBA: Green drops out for at least a month

JaMychal Green will be missing Memphis Grizzlies for at least a month. As the team announced, the Power Forward broke its jaw and has already undergone surgery.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Green will be missing between four and six weeks. Green was hit by an elbow in the Memphis Grizzlies’ first home game against Atlanta Hawks (131-117) and had to be replaced afterwards.

On Sunday morning Green was operated and already. For the forward, rookie Jaren Jackson Jr. could now move into the Starting Five. The No.4 pick already showed against the Hawks that it could be quite ready. The former star of the Michigan State Spartans played against Atlanta 24 points (8/12 FG), 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

The 28-year-old Green played 55 games for the Grizzlies last season, in which he scored 10.3 points and 8.4 rebounds on average.
