NBA: Offensive spectacle with franchise record! Bucks sweep Kings out of the hall

The Sacramento Kings (6-4) are off to a good start, but against the quality of the Milwaukee Bucks (8-1) the visitors from California have no chance. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. burn an offensive firework and win without problems with 144:109 (BOXSCORE) – including new franchise record!

Bucks vs. Kings a top game? Probably nobody had expected this before the season. The strength of the Bucks was to be reckoned with, but Sacramento also got an excellent start to the season and won five games in a row.

And also in the first minutes against the Bucks the guests from California started like the fire brigade. With their enormously high pace, the Kings have already posed problems for teams throughout the season, including the Bucks. With a 14:2 run, Sacramento had already separated himself after a few minutes.

But the Bucks came back – and how! Defensively the team of head coach Mike Budenholzer found its way in the course of the first and second quarter better and better, in the offense Milwaukee pressed for speed and scored again and again in the transition.

Also from downtown the Bucks proved their hot hand on this evening more than impressively. In halftime one, the home team hammered the Kings 11 out of 29 threes around the ears, five players came up with a double-digit score – and that after just 24 minutes.

Despite the strong start the Kings had little to oppose, Milwaukee was simply unstoppable. With a 22-point lead, the Bucks took the half-time break and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. did not take their foot off the accelerator afterwards.

On the contrary: Milwaukee started into the third quarter with a spectacular Alley-Oop from the Greek Freak, in which the Bucks even extended their lead to 28 points – too much for the Kings. Although Buddy Hield (19), Justin Jackson (22) and De’Aaron Fox (15) defended themselves with all means, a comeback was no longer possible for the guests.

The Bucks thus secured their eighth victory in the ninth game of the new season and showed after the defeat last against Celtics an impressive reaction. Giannis led his team with 26 points (8/11 FG), 15 rebounds and 11 assists in just 30 minutes (+39!) – the eleventh triple double in the Greek’s career. In addition, Eric Bledsoe (17) and Ersan Ilyasova (15) were also able to convince. As if that weren’t enough, the Bucks set a new franchise record with a total of 22 sunken triples (56 attempts, 39.3 percent), too.
