In the case of state-controlled doping in Russia, new documents have become public in which the former Sports Minister and current Deputy Prime Minister Witali Mutko is severely incriminated. “There is no exact interpretation of the plan, it’s just a nightmare,”Rodchenkov wrote on 29. January 2014, one day after two Russian top female biathletes had noticed positive tests:”Mutko is crazy about biathlon, things are getting out of hand and are chaotic,”says Rodchenkov.
Later, the chief witness wrote that the Olympic laboratory in Sochi should continue to be run after the Games on instructions from Mutko, as a place for experiments with new doping methods.”We have solved all the problems,”wrote Rodchenkow on 3 March.
