After a rather slow start, especially in the offensive, Flensburg did not get to the first goal in Veszprem until after seven minutes by left-hander Magnus Röd.After a 4-1 draw, coach Maik Machulla’s team returned to the game thanks to a strong goalkeeper’s performance from Mattias Andersson.The SG’s cover was threatened by Maté Lékai and Laszlo Nagy from the hosts’ strong back room.
In the second half of the season, a world-class performance by Andersson made it possible to win Flensburg for a long time, and the SG now led with four goals.In the end it was Lékai and Nagy again, however, who turned the tables for Veszprem.Her two goals for 27:26 and 28:26 in the 58th minute.Flensburg was only able to beat Rasmus Lauge’s 28:27 in the 5th minute 54 seconds before the end.
