Stanley Cup winner Tom Kühnhackl also won part two of the double pack against the Buffalo Sabres with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL. One day after the 4-0 victory in Buffalo, the champion won his own 5-1 at home and celebrated his fourth consecutive victory.
Tobias Rieder, who defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-0 with the Arizona Coyotes, was also successful. Rieder prepared the 2-0 by Derek Stephan (20th) and scored his tenth point of the season. Arizona also ended his negative run after three defeats in a row.
Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers also had reason to cheer at the turbulent 7-5 in the Canadian duel at the Calgary Flames. Draisaitl was left without a point in 16:13 minutes of ice age, the Oilers won their third victory in the last four games.
