For the fans, the Christmas Games are one of the highlights of the regular season – but for the players, the duels mean that they cannot be with their families. That’s why JJ. Redick was not very pleased with the tradition of playing at Christmas.

The Sixers played away at the New York Knicks on Christmas Day and narrowly won. With Shooting Guard J. J. J. Redick is obviously not too happy about it – because he would have preferred to be with his family.

“I’ve probably said it for the tenth time in my life: I’m not a fan of playing at Christmas,”Redick said to ESPN.”I wish we had the holidays to be with our families.”

He understands, however, Redick continued, that NBA players are “entertainers” and “we are responsible for making basketball fans around the world happy.”

A few days ago LeBron James had already said that it was a pity for him not to be with his children at Christmas. He played with the Cavaliers in Oakland at the Warriors’, but in the future I will be there for many more years,”he said.
